Whether its at the news stand or
surfing the blog sphere, we see a
lot of celebrity content.
However nothing captures a celebrity
quite like artwork, especially when the
art is raw and organic an exact replica
of what celebrity status really is.
Being creative is all about making mistakes. The hardest part of the process is recognizing when a mistake is pure perfection or just a disaster. Fun project I worked on with a executive coach for his LinkedIn profile. One my favorite quotes that came out of this project was the one by Thierry Henry.
“Amateurs call it genius. Masters call it practice.”
Who misses those bygone days of the ’80s and ’90s when we all knew our favorite supermodel by name? Drawing this sultry brunette (Cindy Crawford), with big hair and a smoldering stare was quite enjoyable. I was so drawn to reproduce these portraits with bright colors and organic lines to signify the era they dominated.
